Our team of experienced Chartered Surveyors advise both Landlords and Tenants and provide advice and expertise in Rent Review, Lease Renewal and all matters Landlord and Tenant related. 

We also act as Arbitrator or Independent Expert in dispute resolution cases. 

The Rent Review Process.

The Rent Review process is a significant lease event, which impacts directly on operational profits (for Tenants) and on property values (for Landlords). It is therefore important for all Landlords and Tenants to seek professional representation in this area when rent reviews dates are imminent. Lease drafting can have a significant impact on the outcome of any rent review and our dedicated team of Surveyors are hugely experienced in interpreting clauses within a Lease and their implications. 

Our Services.

  • Lease Renewals - We represent either the landlord or tenant in lease renewal negotiations, providing expert advice on all main lease terms to align them with their business objectives
  • Lease Restructuring - We advise on restructuring leases with the aim of enhancing the value of both parties’ interests in a changing business environment, through a combination of extending leases, changing rents, negotiating rent free periods or contributions towards re-fitting.
  • Court Leases - We advise both Landlords and tenants on Court Leases, when they can be applied for and the implications of going to court to secure a new lease on a property. 
  • Expert Witness - We act as expert witness in dispute resolution cases relating to commercial property ad Landlord and Tenant disputes. 
  • Arbitration / Expert Witness - We act as arbitrator or expert witness where Rent Reviews can not be agreed by negotiation and are referred to third party for determination.
